Not only are the aligners invisible, they are removable so you can eat and drink what you want while in treatment, plus brushing and flossing are not a problem.  Invisalign aligners are also comfortable, with no metal to cause mouth abrasions during treatment.

And no metal and wires means you spend less time in the office getting adjustments.

Invisalign also allows you to view your own virtual treatment plan before you commit to treatment.  Before you start treatment you can see how Invisalign will straighten your teeth when your treatment is complete.  For an example of this virtual treatment plan, see this blog article.

And since the aligners are clear, you can smile without embarassment even while in treatment.

Dr. Bill Thompson is a Premier provider for Invisalign which means he is among the top 5% of all Invisalign doctors in the country.  His experience makes your experience that much better!

Never stop learning… no matter what your career!

Continuing EducationNo Comments

As you know I am very interesting in constantly learning and improving as a dentist. Even after practicing dentistry for 30 years, continuing education energizes and motivates me to continuing loving what I do for a living.

I find myself taking course work the interests me and that I feel will benefit my patients by making dental procedure easier, faster, and that will cause less discomfort and anxiety for the patient.

I spent 3 days last week in Advanced Cardiac Life Support which helps safeguard our patients lives.  The class was 21 hours spread over the 3 days and it was intense hands on training.  This training is a requirement for the advanced sedation techniques that we use in our office but it’s also just good information to know as a healthcare professional.  It teaches us how to competently handle medical emergencies in the dental office.

My first comment to a young doctor is never stop learning.  Stop learning and you stop growing.  And really, when you think about it, it applies to anyone, regardless of what they do for a living.
